Joe Johnson to Memphis talks

if green is going out , probably even see Clee or Allen go out as well, probably have to be a 3 team trade and Memphis get some cash to take on his salary , but this would make for the biggest blockbuster of the offseason for sure.

I'm really encouraged about our aggressiveness this summer. The draft left me cold but this is shaping up to be a really good summer for the Grizzlies.

I can appreciate the aggressive nature the Grizzlies have going, but I think we can do better than an aging Joe Johnson and his current salary although expiring. We need to get after a player in his prime and not the player well out of his prime.

RHJ + JJ for Lee/Green/Carter? I bet you anything thats the general framework, Wallace is high on RHJ , wouldnt be surprised if this goes through if memphis throw the full MLE at someone like Biyombo either. They trying to go all in this season

We dont need jj o rjh, we are ok. We need a vet. pg & pf.
Ill just sign Arthur cheaper, trade Vince for Bayless and then use the ML to sign a decent center.

But we need to play the right way, thats all.

The Nets are stated to be high on RHJ, given the reason why they traded for him during last week's draft. As for JJ, again not worth the contract and at his age. The only team that has made the old adage work and got championships out the deal are the Spurs. We are not the Spurs and getting older is not the answer. Need to mix it up a bit.

I like that you guys are trying to get a legit wing scorer but JJ isn't going to put you guys over the hump.

Thank you.

The list of guys I have in mind for the SF position.

Rudy Gay(if the Kings get stupid and trade off DMC)
Wilson Chandler
Kyle Singler
Terrence Ross
Gerald Green
Maurice Harkless
Jared Dudley
Glenn Robinson III

Chandler would be a solid option, better fit than Jeff Green.

I had a pretty similar list but hadn't thought of Ross. Not sure where Toronto is at with this guy, his development seems to have stalled after a stellar rookie season.

Is Chandler more of a 3 or undersized 4?

Chandler is more of a SF(6-8), a position the Grizzlies still seeking. Denver might play him at PF from time to time depending on matchups. Ross is alright, but needs to do better in staying consistent with effort. Toronto like the Grizzlies are another team who is notorious for not developing their talent well. So I wonder if in theory can Ross get better in his skills sets with another team since he's three years into the league?
