Marc Gasol is dealing with neck soreness after Wednesday night’s game in Sacramento and is considered day-to-day.
This is good news for the Grizzlies after Gasol walked gingerly off the court in the second half and did not return. Gasol is 33 and he likely won't heal like he used to, so he is still likely looking at some time in street clothes. If he's out, the Grizzlies would have to start Jaren Jackson Jr. at center and Kyle Anderson would play a lot of four. There will be more minutes for the wings, as well.
No news on Chandler Parsons status. I will keep checking.
Keys to win:
-Temple VS Booker. Booker will score about 30, thats a fact, the point is we want him to need 30 shots. In GT we trust.
-Rebounding. Regardless Gasol's appearance, we need to rebound the ball. Ayton and Chandler are great at the boards, so we need to box em out or they will end up with +15 boards each.
-2nd half: @FedEx we are not supposed to have a scoring breakdown, however we need to be careful with the ball. Stop Turnovers and low FG%. Thats what made us lose @Sacramento last game.
Former Grizzs @Suns: Mr Troy Daniels, our 3D guy with no D. He averaged 2 three pointes in 5 attemps for the grizzs.
Former Suns @grizzlies: Surprisingly, neither Casspi or Temple have played for the Suns. So I believe no grizzs have worn Suns' jersey.
