Fanbase Rookie Approval Rating: Jaren Jackson Jr

Post#1 » by EvanZ » Sun Dec 9, 2018 5:28 pm

Hey so I'm embarking on a litte project to compile fanbase approval ratings for the rookies your team drafted (or traded for on Draft night). Very simple poll like a Presidential approval. Use whatever subjective or objective criteria you feel is necessary to decide.

JJJ is going to be a beast. mentor by Marc&mike. He is only 19yo and he can do mostly everything. Once he settles in the league and learn a thing or two, he is going to be a solid started Allstar-borderline.

His weakness? fouls. He always goes for the block, wich is good, but somehow, he is missing many minutes for his fouling troubles. On the offensive end, he is also having some issues when it comes to positioning. He likes to go deep in the paint but turns the ball over sometimes or ends up with a circus shot with a few defenders.

Being said that, I only see rookie problems. He will adapt sooner than later.

I approve (and wonder who was the one who disapproved ha).

Doncic was #1 on my big board but he was taken by the time we were on the clock. We didn't have the assets to move up and mortgaging yet another 1st round pick would have been ill-advised. We took the best player available and a guy who is probably the 2nd best rookie in this class with a chance of developing into the best. Hard to complain about that.
