Jenkins got owned.
Neither Jaren nor Clarke could handle Kanter. Jaren was a team high -32 in 25 mins, Clarke -24, Jonas -5.
Jenkins 2nd quarter sub allowed a 23-0 run, where he didn't make an offensive sub till the final 1-2mins of the half with that unit struggling to generate any kind of offense.
Easily, Morant's worse game on the year.
Boston took away the paint & shut down Morant, once they did that, Memphis went into full on panic. It was hard watching Melton try to throw an entry pass into a clogged paint, over & over. Boston looked 2 steps ahead.
What made this game unbearable, is the fact I had to listen to some annoying whiney bitch on the Boston feed call the game.

Morant is sick apparently. May have been a little under the weather last game too. Still no excuse for this:

Did the rest of the team catch his cold.
The team functioned best offensively in this game with Jonas on the floor but he played more minutes when they were down 30 than when they were still in the game. From that mid way sub point in the 2nd quarter the only bucket scored was by Jonas when Jenkins finally subbed him back in at the 1m mark from when he left up 4.
43 - 9 run including the 3rd Q because Memphis was in full on panic, unsure of what to do next, in a game of confidence, Boston had them defeated mentally.

If Josh hasn't been an issue on or off court personality wise. I think off the last 2 blowouts, his potential call up could help give a booster shot to the teams sagging confidence.
He'll come in excited to play & may help relight the teams fire, which has been missing for the last 3 games.

I'm projecting February could be the time when Josh may come up from G-League. With all the logjams at the SF position right now, bringing him in right now will cause more confusion and no PT for him right now. We just have to be patient.

Patience, has never been one of my strong suits.
I see people are reluctant to trade Crowder due to his veteran leadership. What if Memphis signed Noah to play 5-10mins to be that vet so they can get something for Crowder?.. open up some playing time for Josh.

Patience is a virtue hardest to master.
I can see the reluctance to trade Crowder for that reason. Sometimes one has to be careful not to pull a thread away from the fabric. One false move and everything can unravel
As for Noah, I've read somewhere that the Mavs and Noah are talking about linking up. With the season ending injury to Dwight Powell, I can understand.
I rather the Mavs go the trade route. Then again, who knows.

With Crowder being an expiring, that thread will get pulled at some point. Whether they keep or trade him, I suspect it would come down to what he can potentially return in value. If there's a season to make mistakes, it's this one. Personally, I rather Josh getting those starting minutes at SF but that's me. I also wouldn't have dropped his control but I don't get to see beyond the face value of him.
Mavs really don't have much to offer in trade.

The Mavs made a couple of moves. Moving rookie Isaiah Roby to OKC for Justin Patton who is to be waived. Plus the Mavs acquired Willie Cauley-Stein from GSW for a pick. So no Joakim Noah for them. The Mavs are due for one more move and it will involve Courtney Lee. Now will Andre Iguodala be the move the Mavs will strike on will be the million dollar question.
It's possible for the Grizzlies to look into both Noah and Patton as potential backup centers for the Grizzlies.
They could also explore the trading route for a potential center like Gorgui Dieng or Dewayne Dedmon for example.
