Beautiful defense, ugly offense.

Hawks will not be able to win anything the way they play defense. Memphis won by 40 while shooting themselves in the foot.

Considering Memphis lost both 3J & Clarke to injury, Dieng hasn't only been big backing up Jonas, he's played some minutes at PF next to Jonas. Leading scorer tonight & +33 on a defensive bench unit that shut down a good Hawks offense.

His 3pt shot has dipped but he's been more than solid.

One of the worst basketball games ive watched in ages. Never so many misses in open layups/dunks. 4 alleyopps to konchar gone wrong and many other alley-oops that went wrong (hitting the rim and such). Both team careless with the ball. Dont know, it was like a summer league game or worst.
All in all, im glad we got a W from this messy game.

Hawks were 8-2 in his arena. Not to mention they just defeated the Nets and Portland (thanks for that).

About Dieng, I like his D but I cringe when i see him with the ball in his hands. Someone should tell him not to shoot a 3 ever again.

Dieng is struggling from 3 since joining Memphis, he was shooting 40% on 3 APG prior to trade. He'll hopefully find his shot again.

Anderson looked much better with the bench switching on defense.

That said, how do you get blocked by a PG that's one of the league worst defenders on what was a wide open look from 3 … His shot release, like the rest of his game, is way too slow for the starting unit.

Thankfully Memphis defense showed up because that offensive start against one of the worst defensive teams, was brutal. The fact that Memphis won handily has temporarily hid the fact that the starters continue to struggle with Anderson.

Like the Tolliver pickup,
