The Lakers should serve as a cautionary tale to how to not be so extreme with mortgaging the team's long term future with the short term goals. Albeit they have won a chip during the pandemic origin year(2020). They have so much money tied to players and a roster who can be perceived as paper champs. Especially when your superstar is in his late 30s, another star is prone to injuries, and another star who has not done the best of job to readjust his game as he ages. Then leaking the word that their former coach was to be dismissed from his coaching duties at the worst time. Pelinka and the rest of the Lakers top execs need to be held accountable for the construction of the roster. I do wish them the best of luck as they not only created this helleva debacle of a roster. They now have the honor to find a way to pay for any players to come to the team with limited virtually no cap space to show for it.
