Former Grizz Wright found dead

Really shocking to hear considering how much of a family man Ren is. Hopefully he's alright and nothing crazy hasn't happen. Hoping for a safe and return home.

really is....remember seeing him and his kids @ Destin, FL, seemed like a good guy outside the court

also this happened in Collerville? generally safe area

Collierville is a nice area. Some of the highest property values in Memphis on average. While Ren is absolutely all about family, he's had a tough time on the business side. The house that Monta Ellis recently purchased, north of Memphis, was a house that Ren was building but couldn't complete and had to walk away from. Really hoping/praying that he's taking time to straighten things out. After a week though, things look grim.

I saw a local news story on this last night that added a few more details: 1) He spent the night at his ex-wife's in Collierville, and when she woke up he was gone and his vehicle was still there. 2) The Collierville police have check his bank account activity and note "no unusual activity." The bank activity thing is puzzling to me, because if he's using the account in the usual manner then 1) he's probably alive and well somewhere, and 2) the nature and location of the transactions should tell you where - so what's with the cryptic "no unusual activity" and the report that he's still missing? Something doesn't add up, and right now I think it's along the lines that the Collierville police department either doesn't know what they're doing or they're just not releasing details.

I remembered from last week that Herb Wright stated via the news that Ren was supposed to be in Europe for a couple of days and was to return back to the city, but so far no word at this point.

There are rumors floating about that he may be okay, but in rehab.

Channel 24 reporting sources confirming it was Wright, gunshot wounds were the cause of death and they could have been self inflicted.

When his ex-wife was interviewed she very curiously said "He wasn't able to spend the night because he wasn't here quite that long. He ran out and didn't come back." She looked down away as she said that, and she paused. Watch for yourself. EDITED--That video has been pulled

I think her mannerisms and her explanation sound strange. I'd bet money she had something to do with his death.

Shortly before the body was identified she was "too distraught" to be interviewed. Personally, I doubt very seriously he visits his kids and then just commits suicide. Doesn't sound right at all.

EDITED--There was a video that I would bet money the police are viewing.

You know, the day the original report surfaced that he had gone missing, my first thoughts were he was either kidnapped and/or murdered or he killed himself.

With his money troubles, divorce, etc., it just made sense, I just hoped it wasn't true...

That's f**k up man. All kinds of terrible to hear this tragedy come to light. Ren will be missed by family, friends, and fans alike. :nonono:

Man, this really sucks. I had a horrible feeling that he'd never be seen alive again after he was reported missing. I hate that it came to fruition.

RIP Ren. We'll miss ya. My prayers go out to his family too.
