Gasol to give away tickets

MEMPHIS, October 25, 2010— Grizzlies star Marc Gasol has added to the excitement of the start of the Grizzlies 10th Anniversary season in Memphis by purchasing 500 tickets that will be handed out in the Grand Lobby of FedExForum starting at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The Grizzlies center wanted to help get the City of Memphis excited for a season that has been 10 years in the making, and to encourage as many people as possible to help with the “Beale Street Blue-Out” of the City of Memphis and FedExForum on Opening Night.

“During the team’s first season in Memphis I was here as a fan watching my brother play, so I’m excited to be in a position to be able to provide tickets for fans as the Grizzlies enter our 10th season in Memphis,” said Marc Gasol. “I’m proud to be part of this Grizzlies team and we want all of Memphis to join us for Opening Night and the rest of the season.”

Tickets will be distributed on a first come-first-served-basis. There will be a limit of two tickets per person.
