Blake Griffin and Zach Randolph worst defensive power forwards in the NBA, probably

Rudy playing like butt in the first quarter. Too many turnovers.

Way too close early. I agree with the assessment that our bigs aren't great defensively.

First time in awhile our typical starting lineup has been able to play together effectively. OJ is way better with the starting lineup.
Rudy is still playing like ass though.

Is it just me, or do a lot of Rudy Gay's poor shots have to do with point guard play? (at least partially)

I think it's sort of a function of our offense; if no play develops and one of the guards is at the top of the key with 6 seconds left on the clock, Rudy gets the ball on the wing.
But he's still playing badly (or unfocused), even when he gets the ball in his typical/more comfortable spots.

Oh, no I agree that you are on point about that. But, when Rudy gets the ball for a one-on-one move, it seems to me as though nothing else is going on on offense. (which would be why he seems to never pass) So, Gay has to create his shot for himself moreso than most teams who rely on point guard play. In transition we're okay with this, but we have a pretty static half court offense from what I've seen.

Perhaps he is talking about that ZoBo guy that matched Blake Griffins stats. Yup, definitely sucks when you can only get that many points and rebounds.

Solid win. Now get back to Memphis and take care of the homecourt Monday & Wednesday, and we got ourselves a legit winning streak and can start sniffing .500 again.
