Carroll Assigned to D-League

MEMPHIS, December 14, 2010 – The Memphis Grizzlies assigned forward DeMarre Carroll to the Dakota Wizards, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.
The 27th overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, Carroll holds career averages of 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10.9 minutes in 75 games (one start) in two seasons with the Grizzlies. The 6-8, 212-pound forward has appeared in four games this season, averaging 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes.
Carroll, who was named the Big 12 Tournament MVP as a senior at Missouri in 2009, is expected to make his D-League debut on Friday, Dec. 17, when the Wizards (1-9) host the Texas Legends (6-2).
The Grizzlies will try to extend their win streak to a season-best four games tomorrow night at 7 p.m. when the team hosts the Charlotte Bobcats at FedExForum.
