We should win this game if OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay can score from the perimeter effectively. Inside, we already have the edge.

They have to execute on both ends of the floor in order for them to keep their winning chances on their side.

Word is that the Raps are playing without Baragnani, Amir Johnson, and Sonny Weems. Weems has been out, Baragnani has a strained calf, and Amir Johnson took an elbow from Alabi in practice. We need to win against an undermanned Raptors squad.

eh we're screwed. NBA TV is showing this game. http://www.nba.com/games/20101227/TORME ... ef:nbahpt1 Will be blacked out from NBA LP. I'm going to Memphis Wednesday ... my only chance to see them in person this year and they have no home games... :( I hope they can win this one - wish I was there. oh well!

As expected, we have the lead in the fourth. But, we should be up by a lot more....

That wasn't a game that either team can be proud of. It was one of the sloppiest by both teams as I've seen this season. In the end Randolph and Gay rescued them, and Conley outplayed Calderon. The Raptors hung in there despite some horrendous turnovers.

Not much more to comment on than that. Take the win and move on.

Ugly win for sure. And to play like that against a nearly depleted team in the Raps. This game says something about the Grizz. One thing to gain from this is they are on a two game win streak. Now it's on the road from here vs. the Kings, Jazz, and Lakers.

We have a tough road ahead for sure.

In this contest, I did feel like there were some solid moments that really captured the Grizzlies at their best. On defense in the fourth and 3rd periods, there were some real lock down moments in our half court sets. Offensively, we were able to get shots off throughout, and Zach Randolph really came alive in the fourth.

Tony Allen had one of his best games as a member of our organization. He tallied 6 steals to go along with his 14 points and 8 rebounds. While Toronto did get way too many second chance points, Allen and Gay were critical in preventing layups and other slashing buckets. They both clamped down on D and collected 6 steals apiece.

Rudy really came alive in the 3rd period and took over the game for a stretch. He played unselfish basketball pretty much throughout, and this led to the W.

I told ya Sam Young was the backup 2. We really have no backup 3. I haven't read yet why they started Sam Young and Henry was DNP. Why not just start Allen or OJ Mayo? what's the point of starting Young at the 2 and only playing him 5 minutes?

Hollins is running this team in the ground. We only played 7 players - why punish the bench in a game that features the other team's 3rd unit?

Just to comment further on Tony Allen, I really liked what I saw with him and Conley defensively. They both played the perimiter passing lanes off ball extremely well and anticipated Toronto swinging the ball around the outside, getting a good number of deflections and steals by taking a quick step out and getting their hands, or fingertips on passes.

They seemed to know what the other was doing most of the time. Another thing I liked about Allen's play, and one which I commented on when they signed him last summer, is that he takes the ball to the hoop agressively all the time, is able to draw fouls, which in turn get teams in the penalty earlier for all his teamates to take advantage of.

If only he had a good long range shot.
