Dr. King was known for his major accomplishments in American history. His legacy includes his famous " I Have a Dream" speech, winning the Nobel Peace Prize, leading his own civil rights movement using nonviolent methods. His fight for civil rights wasn't limited to specific race(s). He believed in equality for everyone to join together as one race, the human race. Not to be judge by what skin we're born with. Be judge by our actions and the quality of our character. That is a legacy that we as a people must keep fighting for today if we are to strive for togetherness and harmony in this world of ours. Especially in these dire times we all face now. To fight for peace, prepare for battle. To lose our sense of peace is to allow division, chaos, and immorality to set in and destroy us all. Fight for harmony! Fight for peace! Fight for a better future!

The 9th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Game

The Memphis Grizzlies will take part in the Annual Dr. MLK Jr. Day Events as they not only will honor the 2011 recipients Moses Malone, Willie Mays and Lenny Wilkins for their contributions in African American history. on and off the sports scene. The event will feature the Grizzlies taking on the Chicago Bulls for the second time on this prestegious holiday. Following the game, the McDonalds of the Mid South will host the Annual MLK game with the Central Warriors taking on the Southwind Jaguars following by Dyer County Choctaws taking on the White Station Spartans.

Reports are that Boozer didn't make the trip. I'm sure that means we'll see more of Taj. I hope the same team that ran head on into Dallas Saturday nice decided to stick around for this afternoon's affair.

I hope for the same deal as well. Another win will put them closer to .500. The Bulls will be coming in pretty confident after a hard fought win vs. the Heat over the weekend. D.Rose needs to be contain plus the Grizz need to take advantage of the post meaing ZBo, Beast and DA need to go2work. If I was off today, I would've took this game in @ FEF. :x

Who's your Haddadi? haha

Sick crossover by Rose. We need to stop shooting jumpers and take it to the rim.

Korver is lighting us up. How are we letting this happen? He's even taking us to the basket.

Zach Randolph: 7 made field goals
Rest of team: 8 made field goals
Rudy Gay bringing that zero energy game so far

Ok, I understand that Rudy has been chucking a decent amount in this contest. But, what about everyone else on the team? Are ZBo and Rudy the only weapons? No one else is doing anything. And, the reason why we are losing is the absolutely awful defense, particularly on Kyle Korver.

Rudy has been bad and he hasn't done a great job defending Deng either. Seems like Deng has gone out of his way to bring it against Rudy.
Rudy better bring it this half otherwise it won't even be close. For almost 3/4 this game he's been a non-factor.

Nice hustle OJ.....

I'm hating this team right now...absolutely no heart.

ditto.

I just had to turn it off. Can't watch this ... especially after the egg the Patriots laid yesterday.

Grizzlies are horrible.

What I don't understand is why if he is having a bad game, no one else can step up.

Rudy's played poorly is all I'm saying. Yeah, he's at least tried to take the ball to the hoop, but that's about it. I'm not trying to play/not play the blame game.
This game frustrating as hell; little effort on the defensive end and zero execution on the offensive end. And Hollins really hasn't made any effective adjustment to the Bulls defense this game.
It's painful to watch this sh*t right now.

edit: at least Hasheem didn't miss that dunk? :dontknow:

Well then I agree. Rudy has been awful in this contest. I just feel like no one places any blame on the other 3 starters....

I'm not convinced that we need to renew many of these contracts.

It's only fitting that Gay is on the bench with his hand in a cast...

Those last 2 foul calls on Hasheem...come on. On the screen absolutely no way that's a foul. The block? Very iffy.
And if Rudy was playing injured most of the game I guess he sort of has an excuse.

Just to add...if this team had a big point to give us effective minutes (Vasquez anyone) OJ would be a way better asset.
