Would Memphis FO Actually Match A Max Offer

I go around to a lot of boards and see a lot of people want Marc Gasol. Thunder,Wolves,Warriors and us Raptor fans for example. I also see what people would offer and I think most offers would be matched. However would Memphis really match a max offer for Gasol after the year he's had and even more so if they miss the playoffs

So that's my question. I'm just curious because I see people have him as a #1 FA target but I'm not sure if Memphis will go to every extent to match the highest possible offer which would be a max contract with the new CBA looming and Randolph needs be extended + Mayo + They could throw MLE money at a different C and hope for the same production as this season.

That's all. I'm just curious as to what number the Grizz walk away at, if there even is a number

I hope not but they probably would, Heisley always keeps the players he has crushes on and he seems to have an even bigger one for Gasol than he does for Gay

This. I thought that the only thing that would keep the Grizz from signing Rudy would be a max/near max offer. Not only did Heisley not blink, he proactively outbid anyone before the bidding began. And yes, it seems that Heisley values Marc as much if not more than Rudy.

A decent legit 7 ft Center are very hard to come by in this league. They are the most scarce position to fill that many teams play power forwards out of position because they can't get their hands on one. Therefore when you actually have one in house it is a must to do everything to keep him. Mr. Heisley values him more than Randolph who actually does most of the heavy lifting. My guess is he stays and the only wildcard is his new agent, that also represents Pau and Xavier Henry. An even that isn't as big a factor since the Grizz have the right to match any offer.

Heisley is either a spendthrift or a cheapskate. I think this situation is one where Heisley spends money first and asks questions later (see Rudy Gay contract "negotiations" July 2010).

Yes he is. So he would match only any offers to Marc and let Zach walk. Period.

See Conley signing as well.
I'm not defending him or anything but if Memphis manages to resign Marc and ZBo I don't think Heisley retains the cheapskate label.
