Should be a tough contest. Hopefully Gasol can contain Dwight.

That's not going to happen, but hopefully none of their interior defenders can contain Randolph.

Z-Bo's double double streak ends at 14 but we get over .500 with Rudy and Z-Bo being nonexistent. Conley has been huge since Mayo got suspended, has quietly dominated two games in a row now but he needs to stop choking at the free throw line late in games. 1 game out of 8th with Portland having a tough back to back against the Spurs and Nuggets

The game turn out to be fun. At first it was kinda dead in the first quarter after the Magic jumped ahead to that 12pt lead. Come the second quarter, the Grizz managed to get some offense going a bit. ZBo was covered like hell, but Marc Gasol went to work with a quiet game of 19pts. Including that vicious dunk he put on the Magic in the post. Like a beast he needs to be. MC played well for himself so I came away impressed and that's a rare one in the case of MC. Old Man Sam handle his thing a bit in the game. Someone needs to remind him that J-Rich is capable of dropping 20 plus on you if you leave him uncontested. DA handle his business 2nite. I hope he uses these games as confidence boosters to better himself as a player as the season goes along. The Magic like the Grizz play very similar to each other. They can build up leads in a hurry and can easily lose the leads very quickly. So their defenses definately can improve along with their benches in a big way. I took some pics of the game while I was there and definately had fun tonight.

First let me appologize for being Debbie Downer!
This was a very good win but for all the wrong reasons. We beat a top five team with Rudy & Zach having awful nights by there standards. (23 points between the two)
We won the game againist an elite team with no OJ Mayo.

The "Stand Pat crew" within the organization will point to a game like this and say,"you see we do have the talent to be in the playoffs", and not make the move necessary to balance the roster. So instead of making the required move to add lowpost depth and a quality small forward to spell Rudy, we get the potential signing of J-Will who has the audacity to make you wait. I would rather go Weekend at Bernies and dig up Pistol Pete Maravich than sign J-Will.
There is also the Mike Conley effect, A career high night validates the contract and Hollins as a talent evalulator. The win would give the notion that having Sam Young as your starting shooting guard does not hurt your team.
GREAT WIN, but for all the wrong reasons. In my humble opinion!

There definitely is a psychological bias to view performances in a vacuum and point to a new "trend" that is occurring to validate an often faulty talent evaluation. This occurs all the time on realgm and I am certain it does in NBA circles as well amongst front office guys. Certain performances sway people one way or the other.

Hell, you guys get to ride high on the wave of the 3 game win streak, meanwhile I'm not in the country to appreciate any of it. I get to watch us lose to the damn Nets.
So yeah, my outlook on the team hasn't changed all that much. That said it's nice to be above .500 for the first since...*runs off to basketballreference/espn*...October.
They're in the hunt for the playoffs and they have a very good shot.
Just don't lose to Cleveland again. Please.
