Since we are so light up front, would it not make sense to go after someone like Troy to help sure up our front line?

Awesome idea. Only problem is we'd be behind Boston and likely 5-6 other teams.

what happened to Erick Dampier? I remember some talk about him early in the season but then it died down.

The Heat signed him on second thought; right after Haslem went down IIRC

Murphy will be heavily pursued by the top playoff teams like Orl, Bos, NYK and such. Maybe another big body like Gadzuric wouldn't hurt the Grizz too much.

Tillery says that we're targeting Leon Powe, but we'll have to compete with Boston among others for his services.
http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2011/feb/27/grizzlies-weighing-ex-cav/Teams began buying out contracts of several players after the trade deadline, and the Griz have a potential free-agent in mind: power forward Leon Powe.
Cleveland reached a buyout agreement with Powe and he'll clear waivers Tuesday. There will be competition for the 6-8 reserve because his former team, Boston, and New York have expressed interest.
Powe's agent, Aaron Goodwin, confirmed Memphis is one of the teams his client would seriously consider.

This would be a great move if they can pull it off. Powe gives them one more aggressive defensive type that knows his role. With Tony Allen, Jason Williams, now Battier, and hopefully Powe, Memphis has added that veteran depth that we talked about for a playoff push. I hope they can get him.
