oh man I love Alyssa Milano! :)

I wonder if NYK could use Darko Milicic again!?!? ahhaha. We have the better record and much better team. I don't think they've had time to gel. They lost to the Cavs recently. Come on Grizz

Also beat the Heat and killed the Jazz and Hornets recently. The Knicks have gelled. Don't really see how the Grizzlies are "much" better.

He put the emphasis on team. Which the Grizzlies have a more well rounded squad from 1 to 5 and a deeper more potent bench. I don't think he meant any disrespect and as a Knicks fan myself, I kind of agree with him.

I think it'll be an exciting game!

Jazz are terrible man, the other two wins are impressive though

That's exactly my point. of course the knicks could go off and blow the Grizz out. They have that in the bank. But I don't see them harassing ZBO enough and getting us out of the paint. Amare can't do it alone is what I mean. The Knicks will have to keep Grizz under 100 and lately that's something no team has been doing well at!

I think we continue the hot streak and get this W,especially at the FEF. Hopefully Conley can keep playing at the level he has been, plus Zach is due for a double-double tonight.

The Knicks bench production is subpar at best. Grizz bench ned to enforce their will in tonight's game.

Best advice to give.

Keep the Knicks off the boards. If they win the rebounding battle, they're likely to win the game.
Grizz defense need to limit the Knicks offense to the perimeter and force some TOs.

Objectives to look into:

Melo vs. Sam I Am

Melo will get his for sure, but the key is for Sam to make him earn his shots from the field rather than scoring easy buckets at will. Defense must be on point.

Zbo vs. Amare:

Defensively they cancel each other outright so it comes down to who has the better game overall. The player who has the better performance between the two may determine who wins the game.

I remember last year when I'd think if Marc wouldn't dominate the center matchup he'd at least play them even, can't believe he got taken out of the game by Amare and Shawne Williams

Tough loss, but at least whe fight till the end. How many games we lost in the buzzerbeater? I can remember THAT Kings game...

Tough loss for the Grizzlies. I can at least give them credit for fighting back after being down a big deficit. I still believe we're capable of beating the Knicks when we hit up NYC. Just make some adjustments to counterattack their style of play.

Pretty much the last time we loss one at the buzzer b4 tonight. That shot still stings b/c of how the chances were 1 in a million for that shot to just up and go in by Tyreke Evans.

Grizzlies have won a lot of their close games actually.

Some quotes from after:

"We had a chance to put them away," Stoudemire said, "but the Grizzlies came on strong. They really got it going."

"We had to hold them off. They're good," New York coach Mike D'Antoni said. "They got into us, and, obviously when they shoot 35 foul shots, and we shoot four, we had to make it up elsewhere. We just shot the ball extremely well."

The track meet was on early with New York making 10 of its first 11, including all four from outside the arc.

Alright so my original post I said NYK has not gelled. WRONG. They gelled! :o

If there ever was a morale victory I'll take this one. We stormed back late in the game after they were way up in the 3rd. 17 points I believe. Tenacity? Grit? I think NYK is making a statement. This is fun to watch: late season playoff level basketball. I think George Bush was still in his first term as president the last time we saw this Grizzlies ball. The Iraq war was just beginning. Marc Gasol was in high school. wow.

That Knicks squad is pretty good. They have a number of role players that complement the superstar talent on their team.
That said, the Grizzlies stayed tough and never quit, even after being shelled from 3 the entire game. Ish Smith looked a little better but I'm still not a fan yet. I know Hollins likes his point guards to be point guards and all but I haven't liked his contributions to the rotation so far.

Smith is too raw but they definitely seem to prefer speed at the PG . You have to wonder though - Atlanta trades Mike Bibby so that Heinrich can take over....? Jeff Teague isn't good enough -- and we're looking at the guy behind Teague here in Smith. Teague outplayed him over and over... Meanwhile Vasquez and Crittenton ran circles around Teague back in the ACC. So I find their choice of Ish Smith over Vasquez and Javaris Crittenton very dubious. Makes me long for Marko Jaric of all people.

speaking of euro has-beens. wouldn't sergio rodriguez be nice insurance with Conley and Vasquez? Certainly better than Jwill at least.
