Question from a Magic fan

First of all, congratulations on the success you guys have had thus far, it is very impressive and I admire your team alot and think you can keep winning because of the way your team is put together and the chemistry they seem to have out there.

Second, I was looking at our roster and there are obvious defects with it. We aren't big at all, we have very little athleticism outside of Dwight, and we have no one that is willing to play defense outside of Dwight. Basically, our team is Dwight.

This lead me to think of a trade package that I think would benefit us from you guys, however, I don't know what we have that would interest you. What I would want is OJ Mayo and one of the following: Tony Allen, Shane Battier, or Sam Young. I'd prefer one of the first two, but I wouldn't mind Young as we have litterally no one that can stay in front of his man on the perimeter.

What would it take? Outside of Dwight, you can have any comination of players as long as salaries match up.

So it would be:

OJ Mayo
???

for

???
???
???

earlier in the season I had an idea for a trade of ZBO to you guys. I'd not do it now. But it was something like ZBO + Thabeet for Brandon Bass and Vince Carter. yikes!

Mayo for Bass and 2013 First rounder, top 10 protected, since let's face it, that scrub wouldn't be coming over till then anyways lol. JK if he comes he's coming in 11-12 or not coming at all. My money is on the "not coming at all"

that would have been highway robbery at the time because then we could give thabeet 10-12 MPG while dwight takes a piss and gets a drink of water, and move gortat and pietrus for jason richardson

jameer
arenas
jrich
randolph
howard

would have been so much better than what we ended up with....

Mayo would not be a good fit unless Howard has put winning the Defensive player of the year next year as his chief goal.
Can't trade Shan Battier as he is free agent at the end of the season, but he would be a good fit.
Tony Allen can not be traded as the Fed Ex Forum does not have riot insurance.

Grizz & Magic would not be good trading partners.

One team that would be a good trading partner for you is the LA Lakers.

Bynum & Gasol
for
Howard & Arenas

I know is doesn't taste good but the writing seems to be on the wall and if you have to trade him you shouldn't do it without also getting rid of Arenas. The only team that could make that happen would be the Lakers. Don't dismiss it think about it. I have a feeling after Friday night they might listen.

Would a trade of Turk Bass and Orton with the rights to fran and a future 1st be enough to get Gay?

I too have a question....
With the Grizzlies postseason success without Rudy Gay does that make him tradeable at all. And what would it take to get a player of his caliber?

^At the very least, you'd have to give us your 2011 or 2012 pick unprotected.
But honestly looking at it, there's really no reason for Memphis to make a move like this, especially with what we've seen against the Thunder this series.

OJ Mayo-Dwight Howard combination is just dirty, simply dirty. especially when they get their chemistry down
