McRoberts will have to be signed and then traded.
Personally I think Memphis better be getting at least a first round pick (top whatever protected) in addition to McRoberts since Mayo is way more proven at this point. Discuss.

Yeah but you have to remember that Memphis has already made it clear that they have fallen out of favor twards Mayo. And other teams know this. Memphis also needs some depth in a back-up Big. However, if they are considering McRoberts for Mayo, and McRoberts still has to be signed to a new deal. Then why not deal Mayo to my Sixers for Marreese Speights ? He is already under contract. And he is as good a rebounder that McRoberts is, and a much better offensive player. No way Philly ever adds a 1st round pick though. Maybe a 2nd rounder, but that's it. But one thing IS for sure. Speights is better then McRoberts.

Memphis have Darrell Arthur who came into his own last season.....they should actually look to trade mayo for a capable back-up Center+1st rounder Jeff Foster+1st rounder would make more sense imo

Unfortunately, this is a dollars and cents move to keep Marc here IMO.

How much is a one year rental worth? I wouldn't give up a 2012 first round pick for Mayo. I would be suprised if the Grizz did this deal straight up but crazier stuff has happened.

It looks like a 1 yr rental is worth McBob and Rush. Although, Bird is stuck on Crawford for some reason.

What would you say the Celtics would need to offer the Grizzlies to make a deal for Mayo happen?

Boston has nothing to offer, outside of Green and Bass - the latter of which can't be traded yet.

Big Baby would have gotten it done IMO, but that ship sailed.
