if Grizzlies dont match, then I give up on Hesiley ever doing anything good for this team

This better not happen for our sake. We need Gasol because you don't find big men like him everyday. The draft really won't help all that much in this area. And, it's unlikely that we'll secure a big free agent bid or a trade for someone like Dwight Howard.

i don't think Hou has made a formal offer yet, and that is why Grizz haven't matched.
Houston will try to pry Pau from the Lakers and then use the family tie to lure Marc and have him ask Grizz to s&t him to Rox.

It sounds reasonable, but, Houston has nothing of interest to offer in a S&T if/when Pau is acquired. Heisley has said repeatedly, and reiterated last night, that whoever signs Marc, he will match.

The one remaining nightmare scenario is that Marc opts to play out this season on his QO and go UFA next season. HUGE gamble on his part though.

Marc will stay if we match. I think he as well as all of us got caught up in the excitement of last years playoffs.

I have no doubt that Marc wants to be here. He likes the city, the fans and his teammates. However, Evil Arn HATES Heisley. For him it's personal. He'd love nothing more than to leave the Grizz high and dry.

The reported offer from Houston is not bad for the Grizz as Marc has the value of that deal. It makes no sense that he would sign that offer when the Grizz have already reportedly offered more in years and compensation. Tellems hatred of Heisley and vice versa should not convince Marc to play on the qualifying offer for one season in hopes he will gain freedom when he could still make the most money with the Grizz. This is home for Marc and the only leverage is the days he misses of training camp and the affect that will have on the continuity. Ownership holds all the cards.

good...was a little worried as Wallace and Heisley were sort of changing their tune form we are def. going to resign him to, we cant rule out all possibilities
