Today marks Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day here in Memphis. As we all know, Dr. King was a prominent figure in the civil rights era. He fought for civil rights in the African American by preaching the doctrine of hope and inspiration and multitudes of protests to achieve the big result, HIS DREAM.

Not just for the African American community, for humankind as well. Dr. King's "i Have a Dream" speech plays an important role in human history on how we as humans should carry ourselves and we go about our daily lives. Not to judge one another by our skin color, but by the value of our character. We must do our part in keeping Dr. King's speech alive and well. We owe it to ourselves to respect one another and treat one another the way we want to be treated. Embrace peace and equality. Embrace one another. Embrace humanity for the better.

Speights!

Speights is holding his own in the first half so far. If he keeps this up, the rest of the team can feed off his momentum and carry themselves to a victory.

Selby for the three to make the score 58-38 @ the half. Rudy Gay leading the way with 15pts. Speights and Conley have 12pts a piece.

Wow. Memphis is playing great and the Bulls seem...to not be playing so great.
Hopefully we play well in the second half and manage to officially make it garbage time by the beginning of the 4th quarter.

Would be much better if the Grizz blast the Bulls out of M-town with a 40pt loss.

Ugh. Not a good 3rd quarter. The offense played right into the defensive scheme that Thibodeau set up.

Conley, Marc (and, to an extent, Rudy) all stepped up in the 4th. This could have ended in a really bad loss if things bounced the wrong way. Either way, they had stretches where they played really well. Keep it up fellas.

What matters is that the Grizz got the win and they are sitting @ .500.

Solid win against a good team. Despite the slow, injury-filled start to the season, at 6-6, we're still off to a better start than each of the last three years (4-8).
