Umm, we take a Playoff team and trade 2 of our best players for a player that couldn't get us over the hump/ No thanks.

Lol, maybe Pau for Conley and a few picks, but even then, I think the Grizzlies are just fine as they are.

The Grizz have the right Gasol now.

Pau is not really even an upgrade over Zach anymore. And without a steady replacement for Conley, we are a .500 team at best.

I've always been a fan of having two seven-footers in the starting lineup, but our team has a ton of promise as it currently is.

I think we will finish somewhere between #2 and #4 in the playoff seeding. And it will basically be only the Thunder standing in our way of a Finals appearance. (All of this is assuming injuries don't derail our season).

:o

So, a healthy PF who's averaging 16 and 9 somehow is not an improvement over an injured PF who was averaging 15 and 8 before coming down. Go figure.

All in all, pointless trade. But, other than blind homers, there's no one who would rate Randolph over Gasol at this moment.

Except for every single Grizzlies fan on the planet??? After what Zach has accomplished already in 2 seasons with Memphis he will go down as the most favored Grizzly of all time. Pau basically left burning his bridges and was despised by most fans before he was traded. Not his fault. I was a HUGE Pau fan myself but the average Memphis fan could not stand to cheer for him. No casual fans like the finessee game he had and his skinny young white butt. Racism very dumb but it's the same reason Rubio slipped so far in the draft and Thabeet was taken #2 instead of the obvious pick. Just how it is.

Say it the way you want. I'm not discussing Pau's relationship with the fans, nor their bias over race or play style. Fact is, no team would want Zach over Pau right now. Rebuilding teams will balk after looking at his combination of age, long max contract, and injury record. Win-now teams will go for the healthier of the two. This isn't me saying Pau's better than Randolph by a mile. It is a simple question of who can contribute the most this season.

Just to back my words, Pau is holding his own against Blake Griffin and winning the game for the Lakers. Anecdotal evidence, but funny still.

You do realize that Pau is older than Zach - right? So full of fail. Go back under whatever bridge you crawled out from under troll.

It is AT BEST a lateral move at PF, with the Grizzlies gifting Conley to the Lakers for their trouble.

No thanks.

I doubt The Griz (or other West teams) have an interest in making the lakers younger, cheaper, deeper.
the Lakers are like the school bully who broke a leg and is in a cast...payback time. :naaa:

As long as the rumors of a Rondo for Gasol trade STAYS A RUMOR.

What makes it more hilarious is that both Kobe and Coach Brown believe they can win a playoff series with the roster they currently have at this time.

Yo do realize Pau is less than one year older, right? And has always been in a much better shape, to boot. Both started playing in 2001. Zach has been on the floor exactly 666 games (I'm not making this up). Pau, almost 100 games more: 757. Who's the more durable? Who do you think is going to be playing at a good level late into his thirties? Karl Malone or Shawn Kemp?

And, if anyone who tells a truth you don't like to hear is a troll, then this troll is going back to a reality where Pau Gasol is winning games for his team, and Zach Randolph is still rehabbing without a clear return date. Have a nice day in your parallel universe.

Reading is fundamental. The contention was that Zach was "too old". I replied that Pau was older. Grizz fans don't need to be educated about Pau. We watched him up close and in person for many years. By and large, we'd all rather have Zach. Period.
