I still don't buy it. Heisley has no intention of paying the luxury tax, and Mayo will command $$$ on the open market this summer.

Well if you consider the deals that have been on the table, none of them would improve our team, much, particularly this year. I think Heisley will just let him play out this season and risk letting him walk.
If they forego the QO (which is quite high), he becomes a UFA as I understand it, and we may be able to work out a sign and trade with an over the cap team where we get a shooter and a draft pick back.

If that's the case would the deals improve unlike the previous deals? Who's out there that the Grizz could truly consider if OJ walks this offseason?

If you mean who can we get in a sign-and-trade, I'm not sure. But there's a good chance that it won't be any worse than the offers we've been getting for him lately.
