I thought Tim Duncan would be kept out on the 2nd of back-to-backs but when I looked at the Spurs calendar this year it looks like he's playing. I read he won't play 4 out of 5 nights like their schedule does sometimes. I would expect that he plays tonight but maybe limited minutes. I expect a lot of small ball with Blair and Splitter at the 5. This is a tough team to play without ZBO. Rudy Gay needs another big game. Conley has to match Parker. And Gasol needs a monster game too. I want a Tony Allen or OJ Mayo breakout too. Just let's win!

Must defend the Grindhouse!

The Grindhouse must be defended. We've lost three in a row. We need to make up for that. With the Spurs, it's never easy with them. Our A game is fully advised if we're to get back to our winning ways.
Good luck Grizz!

This is a real big game tonight, back in Memphis and time to end this losing streak.

This team is just becoming an absolute joke. 5th straight game we have trailed by atleast 15, also im starting to lose ALOT of faith in Rudy Gay.

When i look at Gasol,Conley,Allen and Mayo I can just see that they want it so bad. I honestly just don't see the same from Rudy.

This is one of the worst starts to a second half I've seen in a while. Do these guys even want to play tonight?

It doesn't help that the refs are rewarding the spurs for flopping.

Rudy is trying to get thrown out of the game. Guess he doesn't like playing against Leonard.
This one is over and I'm starting to get sick of this losing. Rudy needs to step up his damn game.

Not that it matters at this point but...clear path foul?

awful game. I thought the Suns game was bad. This is so much worse. despite the fact Speights came out with 10 pts in the 1st quarter. Despite the fact that we're hitting the 3 ball (but not defending it for a flying ****). Despite the fact that the Spurs look slow and sluggish --- they still get all the rebounds and hustle plays. They waddle down the court and then take 2 steps and get a basket. Our guys look lethargic. IT doesn't help that the refs blow every single out of bounds and foul in favor of the team the Grizz are playing but in PHX we would have been up by15 if we played with our heads out of our asses. And then tonight it would be a close game if not for the chicanery and bumblefukcing that's going on this farce of a contest.

4 in a row.

What are they doing? And Rudy pulls a Melo with the 1pt BS? Far as I'm concern, we let the Spurs off the hook.

It's impossible to put a finger on why they didn't show up last night. Gasol looked frustrated, or tired, or both. Rudy Gay? God only knows what got into his head last night. Conley put in a good effort I thought. Mayo tried as well. But as a whole the team lost it's composure there with some questionable calls from the officials and they let it get to them. They have to be more professional than that.
By the way, how does San Antonio keep coming up with these players that aren't big names but can play solid ball? Besides Irving and Rubio, Kawhi Leonard might be my favorite rookie this year. Looking beyond his stats he has an air of a player who has been in the league a few years. His work effort is second to none on both ends of the floor. And with Danny Green I can see why RC Buford traded George Hill to Indianna to get Leonard. Those two are contributing significantly to the Spurs cause.

Leonard could turn into an incredible player. Can't put my finger on it but I'm thinking Jerry Stackhouse.
I was incensed at last night's game as you can tell from my comments above. Let's hope tonight something different happens! I'll have the game thread up in a minute.

Sam Presti left the Spurs the blueprints on how to select quality draft players and groom them into solid contributors. Leonard is one of them. And thxfully Danny Green is becoming one of them as well. Always wanted the guy to be solid in the NBA following his days at UNC.
