Marc Gasol's Rebounding, Should It Be Better?

He did not even average 7 rebounds a game in the Clippers series. I think a 7-1 center with Marc's aggression, should average at least 9 boards, even with Zach Randolph.
This season he averaged 9 rebounds, which is pretty good.
Note: No, I am not trying to put the Clippers Series loss on the Marc Gasol.
You think Gasol's rebounding should be better than what it is?

I get what you are saying and there is no need to sugarcoat it. Marc's rebounding, though, was far from the reason we lost. (I know you are not saying this) I think that our rebounding was one of our saving graces, although I agree that we should have dominated more.
I really was thinking about this very topic when watching the first few games of the series and I came to the conclusion that Marc is not really quick to balls. That is the reason why his rebounding numbers can be lackluster at times. And during parts of this series, he was forced way out to the free throw line and above in order to help initiate the offense. So when a shot went up, he was not mobile enough to recover over other players and snag boards. Instead, he just appeared to be floating outside the paint when forced to set high ball screens. (and when he shot long jumpers) This needs to change in the future and was a big contributing factor as to why he rebounded so poorly at times (or at least appeared to) in this series.
