Battier is the epitome of a role-player in my opinion.

Well, in last year's playoffs, Quincy was super efficient offensively from what I remember. He is very good defensively, but I'm not sure that he will ever be as intelligent as Battier. Still, he has done a great job in a backup role and I am very happy we have him.

Well we really need someone decent to play the 2 spot.

Allen can't shoot
Selby is too small
Ellington plays no D and has an inconsistent jumpshot.

Q Pon can play defense and is more reliable on the perimeter than Allen

I really like QPon. He's so underrated. He was like 360 on the NBA ESPN player ranking way behind Gilbert Arenas and many other fools. He should be in the 200s I think. He's a big guy for one thing and he hustles and seems quite intelligent. Maybe not as intelligent as Battier and studying and memorizing every player's tendencies like he does but he's not typical jock when I hear him speak. Remember that guy with 2 rings, James Posey, that used be on the Grizzlies? that's who I want Qpon to be for us. Savvy defender, good rebounder, knock down open threes. Ok posey is lock-down defender.

Po-Z is a name to remember. He's the only guy in NBA history to play 83 regular season games. To me, when he came to the Grizz, it was like that move put a fire under the Grizz's butts to be more aggressive on the defensive end like never before. If Q-Pon can be that guy to lockdown the opponent's best player, it would help out the Grizz a hellava lot.

When you guys drafted him, Posey was the guy I thought of when I saw him... agile big wing-man who can shoot, make the pass, knows his ball-handling limitations, and rebound and defend relatively well

Underrated, overlooked player IMO

Battier got sent packing to the glue factory last night.

That was an awesome performance by the Griz and sends a shockwave throughout the NBA that the Grizzlies are THE TEAM to beat this year. A win against OKC on Wednesday and Knicks Friday (both nationally televised) would cement our position at the top of the league for this season.

There's nothing better than making an impact statement against one of the best team's in the NBA. The Heat had it coming.

Yeah, not sure we're the team to beat. But, we have shooters this year, which is a big departure from last year. We are going to be tough to stop.
