heyya we got this!

I remember reading Denver as the #3 seed in the West predictions in preseason... Grizz were #7 seed. It's early but they sure do look wrong.

The Nuggets are a tough opponent. They always play us hard. We need our interior defenders to clamp down now so we can make a late push.

Big loss here. Not a good precedent to start with the Lakers coming into town.

Why are we not running plays for Rudy Gay in the post? It feels like whenever our bigs get taken out of the game or make mistakes, we are lost and everyone else pays for it. We need to learn how to play Basketball without force feeding Gasol and Randolph or we will lose in the playoffs. We are also still in desperate need of a starting caliber SG. Allen has taken 9 shots while Gasol has taken 7. Unacceptable. Maybe Arron Afflalo or JJ Redick is on the market.

Guys, no doubt the offense stalled at times in the second half. Our defense allowed that 9-0 run that put us away. To me, the real culprits were the Nuggets outrebounding us 47-33 total. 21 of those rebounds were offensive rebounds, which means the Grizz did not do a good job boxing out the weakside post. Allowing second chance points to happen.

Now that this loss has happen. I kinda feel that this monkey is off our backs now. Especially with most ppl thinking that Charlotte was going to be the trap game.

We have some rest between now and Friday when we play the Lakers. We just have to be ready by then and put this loss behind us.

I don't mind this loss because now we come out hungry again to win on Friday and not coasting in on that enormous win streak.

Tony I think is still very important on this team as the starting SG. I don't ever pay attention to how many shots he took or missed like that. That's not his game. The thing I think about is if you subtract Tony Allen and add someone else - do they make up for the difference in all the other players on the starting 5 that is removed with Tony out of the lineup? What are you taking away from the rest of the team without Tony Allen? It's not as simple as looking at just what Tony Allen himself brings but what his impact has on the ratings of our team defense and team offense collectively. I don't think there's more than a handful of players in the NBA that would result in cumulative increase there. And they are franchise players for the most part that we'd have to trade one of our core players to obtain if they do exist. Aaron Afflalo would be a good guy to have as insurance behind Wayne Ellington but how does he have anything to do with starting SG? He's more of a 3rd stringer at our level of play. JJ Reddick would add more offense but provides nothing for the rest of our team. Again, he might be an Ellington replacement but the entire team would lose from having Reddick in place of Tony Allen. I'd predict we finish closer to .500 with either of them and struggle to make the 8th seed.

A loss to the Denver team is not very big since they were on a 3 game losing streak and overdue for a win. 8-2 in the first 10 is phenomenal.
