GL grizzlies. Will be sad to see ED Davis playing for Memphis, he was much beloved by Raps fans. Hopefully he'll get to see some extended minutes tonight against TO. He will get a nice ovation when he comes into the game.

Yeah. Hopefully Gay will get the same treatment when he comes home (not sure if that'll happen though).

Both teams seem to have improved via the trade. We're still the better team, but this is a much more interesting matchup now.

I've heard Casey has been playing Gay at the 4 some... we'll get to say Gay vs Randolph heads up in that case :)

All tied at 6 apiece with 5:25 to go in the 1st.

So far, the worst played game I've ever seen. By both teams.

Tony Wroten with a clean catch off a flair screen, swishes a three like it's something he does all the time.

Am I the only one who gets happy at the thought of Tony Wroten canning jumpshots? I just feel like he has all the tools to an all-star level guard if he develops a consistent longball...

Marc Gasol's defense in the 3rd almost gave the game away

Alan Anderson going absolutely bonkers. Which leads me to ask:

Who the crap is Alan Anderson?

For real. I knew though, as soon as Rudy came back with 5 minutes left, that Anderson wouldn't get any more touches. Thank goodness.

Not pretty, but got the job done. I'm looking forward to see how this team has grown recently when they play Brooklyn.

Yeah Rudy dominated the ball a lot in that last few minutes, and tried to force some shots. I think he wanted really badly to be the hero tonight against his old team.

As I recall though, just before Rudy came back in, Conley and Allen double-teamed Alan Anderson on the three point line and he turned the ball over; and it looked like the double team was by design. That may have been part of the reason for his lack of further touches. Casey even took him out before it was over.

Brooklyn will be the real test after we play the Magic.

Also, a win is a win. Ugly as hell near the end, but a win nonetheless

DA,

I composed an article regarding what we had discussed in another thread about substituting Pondexter for Allen in the starting lineup. I'll post a link later. The findings were interesting.

Very true - I was only half way kidding, because we all know that passing is not one of Rudy's strong suits.

EDIT: I came across this little nugget of info earlier today that kind of drives home the point -
per Synergy, in all ISO plays, Gay passes the ball just 8.3% of the time. Just 8.3 percent!

Submitted it yesterday night, well before the deadline. So far, the Grizz addressed one of my recommendations- to get a backup center.
