Gasol Question

If one of the top three drafts picks were offered for Gasol, do you think Grizzlies management would do the trade?
If yes, would #3 be enough? #2? or only the top pick?

There is no one in this draft class that would be a consideration since you are dealing with such an unknown talent. The Grizz know what they have in Marc Gasol. (If this was a serious question)

Bingo. This draft class looks extremely weak - so a top three pick doesn't get it done IMO. Beyond that issue, I think that Conley and Gasol are viewed as the future cornerstones of the franchise given their age and current contracts. If the Grizz decide to "blow it up," I think you'd see Zbo moved before either of them.

Gasol is the best big man in the game, and is therefore untouchable.

From an outsider's perspective, there aren't any genuine centers in the draft that are sure-things. Noel is a lanky center on the shorter side, at least in comparison to Gasol. Also, you're not going to find a player with Gasol's experience (both in the NBA and internationally) who has Gasol's abilities and team-first mentality. I've always thought he had one of the highest basketball IQs in the game, and he's done nothing lately to make me think otherwise. Memphis is also in win-now mode, so there is no need to break up the band, so to speak. A team like Milwaukee could lose key players, because it's in their best interest to rebuild. Not so with the Grizzlies.
If I'm running the team, Marc Gasol is about as close to "untouchable" as they come. I know that has already been stated, but I am making the same claim as an outsider.

Not with the talent available in this year's draft pool.
Perhaps at the end of next season, if Wiggins declares for the NBA draft.... but even that will be hard - Gasol is one of my favourite players of all time!

Marc Gasol is the best center in the league, and I'm not sure how many people are really aware of that. You better believe the Grizzles are, though.
