Do you mean Jerry Sloan? Absolutely no chance, as that is how you spell Old School - Jerry Sloan. He would tell them where they could go with their Analytics and dare them to cry about it.

As for Hollins, there is no way even if he won the Championship was he going to be brought back. The front office and Hollins are like oil and water. You don't become in charge and then fail to implement your vision especially when your subordinate is opposed to the fundamentals of that vision. They want him to take another job and it is viewed as a win win on all sides. Tony Allen will be brought back but Zach Randolph is going to be shopped and eventually traded. The Grizz want a more streamlined payroll based upon player value. Small market equals no max money for non superstars.

I for one am excited to what Dave Joerger will bring to the team. Have to think he will play Davis/Wroten and do something other than high pick and roll

I would not assume that Dave Joerger is there top candidate. Granted they do want a coach who believes there is a place for Analytics, they would also love to bring in someone with more head coaching experience so his candidacy is no slam dunk. The Grizz are willing to pay up to 3 mill for the right candidate so that opens the field to a lot of candidates and not just the lead assistant on the current staff.

I would say he is 95% the next head coach. He was the defensive coach the past few years, has previous head coaching experience, and have heard the front office think he will be stud going forward. One of the reasons they were willing to part with Hollins.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Hollins departs from the Grizz with both sides having their differences on methods of how bball teams should be run. Whatever happens, I wish Coach Hollins the best and thx for getting the Grizz as far as they could get.

As for the next coach, whoever he is he'll likely have to agree on the same principles the new organization follow and be on the same page as they operate.

Apparently Hollins has contacted the Clippers and expressed his interest in the job. The Nets have also asked for permission to interview him.

I think the fact that Hollins is actually reaching out to other teams is a clear sign that things aren't going to work with him and the Grizzlies next season.

LA would be a great job for him, but I really hope he doesn't go there, of all places...
