@ESPNSteinLine: Hearing Grizzlies have trade in the works: Darrell Arthur and 55th pick will be dealt to Denver for Kosta Koufos

I personally LOVE this trade, make Ed Davis the #1 PF and get a pretty damn good C in Koufos

Yeah, meant #1 PF off the bench, Hollins LOVED LOVED DA.

I mean this trade is truly underrated, Koufos is a good back-up C. PER of 17.4 last year.

I like the trade. DA, unfortunately, hasn't been the same player since the Achilles injury, and Koufos has shown that he can produce - and he fills a need (back up C).

I agree that Darrell Arthur's best days are probably behind him but Koufos is a joker. He is one of my least liked players. I would take Thabeet or Hadaddi - even Darko Milicic over him. Frankly I don't like the way this team is headed.

Ed Davis should be #1 for you. He's a pretty good darn player if you give him the minutes.

Who cares if he is a joker, he can play and start on many teams. Team needed a true back-up Center

very good trade for you guys, and ED Davis now gets his chance to shine.

Denver hated how Karl played this guy over Mcgee, but it's not his fault Koufos performed.

Ed Davis was great all season before he got traded and didnt get minutes. If he can crack consistant 25-30 mins he is a double doudle machine with a much improved jump shot

We're going to miss DA's mid-range shot (even though it was a little inconsistent last year).

Personally I'd prefer Jon Leuer to Ed Davis.

I say we deal Randolph for a wing scorer and let the two PF's fight it out for the starting job.

How? He's got potential based on his athleticism, but he's shown nothing in terms of an offensive postgame (he seems to get his points exclusively on offensive rebounds/putbacks and having the table set for him around the rim) or being able to hold his own man in check on the defensive end due to his slight build.

At this juncture, he looks like a role player on a good team, but never a cornerstone or building block on a team of any significance IMO.

Maybe he showed more in Toronto?

Obviously the grizzlies had established davis' role, to rebound and defend. Ed Davis is capable of much more. Trust me on that one.

We stole koufus
We stole franklin from every other team.

I was a huge DA fan, particularly back in the day. I was really disappointed by this move. I don't like the direction the team is going.

What direction you think the team is detouring towards?
