Got a guy that played well in the D-League last year as a rookie for a guy that played 0 minutes for the Grizz

Donte Greene, twice traded by the Grizz without ever hitting the floor for them in a regular season game LOL.

Hamed Haddadi. Fab Melo. Requirement to be Memphis's third string center is a great name. Let's just forget Dexter Pittman ever happened.

Who is Dexter Pittman? lol.

As for this trade, if Melo didn't work well for the Celts. It's doubtful he'll work out for the Grizz. Seem like the move was an unneccessary move imo. And Willis Reed's time as a Grizz will reach it's end somewhere in the near future.

IMO he is an asset they want to develop since they traded a non guaranteed contract for Melo's guaranteed contract. Although they did get cash in the deal presumably to cover said contract if he does not pan out.

Secondly, a trade with the Celtics is not unusual since the arrival of Chris Wallace, but it is unlikely that he even knew about the deal until after the reports came out. (visiting school in Little Rock, AR regarding teen age son at the time)

Jamal Franklin, Jon Leur, and now Fab Melo - Grizzlies who will be developed and not expected immediate production from? Tony Wroten purposely left off as he is currently trade bait to pair with Bayless or Prince with the arrival of Calathes.

Ron Tillery actually broke this story which is a welcome change or olive branch by the Grizz Brass, since his public backing of his friend Coach Hollins was not that wisest of moves going forward. For the past several weeks Marc Stein at ESPN served double duty as the Grizz beat writer breaking all news Grizz related, a guess a nod to his former colleague John Hollinger, not even Chris Wallace confident Chris Vernon had the scoop as of late. (unless you count the preseason schedule as news)
