The Nuggets and Robinson agree to a buyout on Thursday night after the trade deadline. Robinson has played for three teams in a four year span while on a rookie contract. Unfortunately that says a lot to that Robinson has not live up to expectations to be picked so high In the draft nearly four years ago. I know that the Grizz have JaMychal Green on the roster, would the Grizz think to take a chance on Robinson based on his ability as a energy and hustle type of player who can rebound, transition tactics, and mid-range jumper?

I really like Thomas Robinson but sadly the 76ers picked him up and i dont see him doing well with them, but I have always like Robinson as a hustle guy, but I still think he has a decent ceiling given the right situation and I think Z-Bo could get him to be a legit player, sadly there are some of these underated players that dont live up to expecations because they are not in the right situation, then end up on a team like the 76ers : Hollins Thompson, Thomas Robinson, Robert Covington , tony wroten, Henry Sims. These are all guys I could see being legit 6-7th man types in a rotation, but all are stuck with the bum 76ers not getting the help they need to develop.

Actually the key to a guys development regardless of the sport is playing time, so there is plenty to be had with the 76ers. What other teams must exercise is caution when trading for or attempting to acquire an individual who has played in that situation, because his numbers will ring pretty hollow, and he may actually be a lot different than your expectation. In other words (fools gold).

I would have loved to acquire Thomas Robinson on at least a two year deal, like Miami locked up Hassan Whiteside. Proving once again there is Pat Riley and then there is everyone else.

In the case of Robinson, he has a lot to prove considering he failed to meet expectations since the day he was drafted. I would've been fine to sign him for the rest of the season to see where he was in his development to determine was he worth extending to a one year deal or let him go. Since he's gone to the Sixers, he will be given a shot, so it's likely his numbers will balloon given he's playing with the worst team in the NBA right now.
