Why is Memphis looking at guys with lengthy injury histories

Well to be fair this report comes from Cam Rose saying its actually the Pelicans pursing this trade and Memphis more or less laughed.

Erman likes Green a lot , but this does not work for a few reasons, contracts dont match up well and Gordon is both injury prone and Small.

Pels also want CLee as part of the deal and maybe even Martin, prevailing thought is Memphis isn't wholly against it and is at least fielding an offer from them, but probably going to be far apart on what each team wants.

Honestly, I hate it for Memphis even then. Ryno would be a good fit and we get a first, but even with just 1 year on Gordon, he is too injury prone and overpaid. What this does do however is gut our wing rotation clearing minutes for Adams, and it gives us a couple roster spots going into FA.

I know the Grizz are going to have to do a two player for one player trade to clean up the roster, and trading Jeff Green with C. Lee makes the most sense. The candidates I have for this type of deal are: New Orleans with similar ideas you posted above, the Minnesota T- Wolves with Kevin Martin & C. Budinger coming this way; Toronto for Demar Derozan; We desperately need a scoring wing and the roster is currently at 15 with no backup center so changes have to be made.

There is a push to get Chandler Parsons from the Mavs, but it would probably end up being a 3 team trade and costing us a boat load of assets (Smith, Adams, Green, etc) , dont see it happening.

Memphis gets a win now piece with Parsons and slots Felton as our 3 option PG

NO gets Green for Erman and Carter is a good veteran for them, also bring on Martin at the cost of 2 future seconds sent to Memphis then conveyed from Memphis to Dallas

Mavs dump Felton and get youth with Adams and smith and 4 second rounders (easily cash in 3-4 for a decent 1rst later on or pair in trades) also get Gordon to take the place of Ellis and they take a year off Parsons' deal to allow them to be big players in 2016 FA.
