The latest injury to Marc Gasol has him out indefinitely with a broken foot. That said, I wish him the best in his recovery. My intentions was to create this post during the All-Star Weekend as the NBA season take it's usual break. Now with Gasol's latest injury, will the Grizzlies truly consider looking into moves to perhaps better their franchise for the future or will they look to stay the course and perhaps make a move or two for another playoff year. Some of you already know what my position is with this roster.

With the trade deadline nearly one week away(next Thursday 2/18), do some of you think the Grizzlies will make some moves to stay the course of their playoff run or will they make some moves to make way for rebuilding the roster?
Your call.

Re: The Moment of Truth
Time to make a call to Larry Sanders...Sanders/Wright 5 rotation may work. An athletic defensive player like Sanders may even allow Z-Bo to fit in better but rebounding again (but was the same even with Gasol in) will be an issue with a Sanders/Wright rotation.
I'd be surprised if Grizzlies throw in the towel now. They will ride it out with the guys they have and rebuild next season I think, starting with offering a semi-reasonable contract to Conley who I think will get better offers and be on another team next year.
I wonder how much Gasol's injury had to do with him coming into this season out of shape though, which makes me think that a team with Gasol & Conley as your franchise players will not be good enough to be anything but playoff fodder. I suppose if the Grizzlies organization feels, like me, that Conley will get a better offer in the off-season maybe they can try to find a desperate suitor with a playoff contender for some draft picks/filler. If that scenario is in their head then Allen & Z-Bo, Green are all on the table too. VC has no real value anymore but perhaps a team is willing to take a chance for his contract which ends next year.
Reality, I think they stay put. Really though if they believe Conley will get better offers than they are prepared to offer they should be shopping everyone (Conley, Allen, Z-Bo, Green and even Gasol) and aim for a full rebuild and in my opinion, that also means starting fresh with a new Coach next year too.
