It wasn't a surprise to see Jeorger gone from the Grizzlies. Not because he was functioning with half a roster due to injuries this season. Mainly due to friction between him and the front office as far back into the Jason Levian era. Even then Jeorger attempted to get interviews with other teams like Minnesota two years ago to coach a younger team. Jeorger is rumored to be interested I nthe Kings coaching position now that George Karl has been relieved of his duties. If Jeorger gets the job, it's cool. Is this the first rock to start off an avalanche on Mt.Grizzmore this offseason? We will see in the upcoming weeks.
Stay tuned.

He kind of has a bad attitude and I believe wanted greater input on personnel decisions. Not surprising to see him gone.

Jaeger had a bad attitude? I can't agree with that in any way... SMH. I have zero knowlege of Fizdale other than he was an assitant to an assitant in Miami. I think we have severely downgraded from a downgrade long ago. Chasing Fratello out of town was a mistake and I think any legitamte coach realizes that and avoids coming to memphis as a result. Hollins was a spare piece who grew into his own here in Memphis and went from apprentice to master. then again we dropped him like dirty laundry at the laundry mat. This is the reality we have now to face. A team that cannot retain a minor league level coach and desparate enough to hire anybody. I just hope this guy is better than Iavoroni

Can't say that Jeorger had an attitude problem. If anything, he had an issue with the roster in terms of how he wanted to play up-tempo while the players he had on the roster were best fir for a half-court style ball. Also with breakdown of communication between him and the front office overtime like how Jeorger preferred Rodney Hood to Jordan Adams in the 2014 NBA Draft. Also the fact that Jeorger was a hire from the Jason Levian regime may have also played a role in the seesaw tension between him and the front office.
As for Jeorger as a coach, he's decent to say the least, but needs more seasoning in terms of commanding respect as a coach. He tends to be more passive-aggressive in his approach as a coach. That said, it makes me wonder how will be able to approach the toxic topic known as DeMarcus Cousins and his reputation with the Kings. That will be a test for Jeorger to determine if he and Cousins can come to an understanding to how to approach the game, each other, and for DMC's temperament.

As for Fizdale, I will treat him like other previous coaches, give him a chance to see what he can do since he's in the driver's seat for the first time. As for Fratello, as much of a good coach he was, his personality was a big turn off for me. Too many instances, where he micro-manages games on most possessions, had that type of personality that would lead to him alienating his players like Bonzi Wells for instance. Hollins albeit stubborn at times, was one of the better coaches next to Hubie Brown when he was here a few years ago. Hollins comments on the Rudy Gay trade lead to his departure(contract not renew) under the regime of Jason Levian, who since been fired.
As for the future of the Grizzlies now that Fizdale is the new coach, how the front office handle the offseason will determine their abilities and competences to how they approach the draft, FAs, trades, and how these moves will either improve or implode their roster.

Sounds like my typical overreaction and pessimism spoke too early. Hope fizdale raises the rroof. Now I am finally back in Memphis this week I feel better about it and see the hope for the team to turn the page and enter another chapter
