More puzzling than the organization settling on him is what position does he play? I have seen reports of him as a backup point guard which would be great given his size, but apparently he sees himself as a SG and given his assists totals it bares that out. Not an exciting move as I would like to Selden & Stephens, over Daniels & Wroten, not that each pair or tied to the other, just in terms of upside.

I'll add professionalism. Always ready no matter how infrequently he plays. And this of course......

adding to others...

I love that he's ready to shoot as soon as he comes in the game, no matter if he's been sitting cold for 30 minutes on the bench, that first shot looks the same as his 5th shot.

He's not afraid to let it fly, even when playing with the starters in a close game. He seems to have no fear of the moment and has supreme confidence in his shooting.

Seems to be a great dude and great teammate.

Strengths: shooting, he's a good shooter, ok he's a really **** good shooter, towel waiver

Weaknesses: about everything else

This is what a few posters had to say about Daniels and his production. I wonder if Daniels can improve his game with Fizdale's expertise as a player developmental coach.

After reading those, two words came to me, that would scare every Grizz fan:

I remember. The "miracle worker" who was supposed to do wonders for the Grizzlies offense. He belonged in the same dumpster fire as Sasha Vujavic, Sasha Palovic, and Luke Jackson. Guys who were supposed to be known for their shooting prowess, but fail short of NBA expectations.

I'm not sure that I am a fan of this, as I see very little value here, when the Grizz could have found season Vet for the Min to have been a 3rd player behind Conley and Baldwin. We need more big, long down wings that shoot the 3 and make up for Parson not being a top level defender.

Long time, no speak boogie! How's civilian life treating you?

The Grizz need to look into a useful big man to back up Gasol and get off Wright's contract as he and the Grizzlies haven't been able to click together due to injuries Wright received last season. Might need to look into Philly and Sactown as they have plenty of centers on the roster.

The value of Daniels is going to be tied with how well his back court partner(s) play. If Baldwin and Harrison play well then Daniels is going to have a Steph Curry/Kyle Korver level impact with his shooting. He is by far the best shooter we've had since Mike Miller and we still don't know what sort of ceiling he has. I don't think we'll see him play PG, the only non PG I can see him playing alongside is Vince. I agree that we could use a better 3 and d wing, but I'm guessing that's the role the team thinks James Ennis can play. There is still 1 roster spot left so maybe we can have it all lol.

Daniels can't create. He is strictly a spot up shooter. Think of a very limited Steve Kerr. He's a sharp shooter, but that is it.

Lol. Was never military. Son is. I've been a regional sales manager for grocery companies for the last 20 years domestically and internationally. Some countries limit the places on the Internet you can visit, hence my absence. I'm state side permanently now, based in Florida, and recovering from a serious car accident in February in Orlando that will lead me to doing to separate disc fusions on my spine over the next few years. Just got the ok, from the concussion release a few weeks ago, so I'm off and tinkering on the Internet, while I'm stuck on the couch. But like is great.

Well we all hope you have a speedy recovery, and welcome back. This season looks like it may be special so it will be great to share the experience with those, who endured the lean years. Since you have been gone

the Griz no longer play in the pyramid, we have a shinny new building called FedEx Forum.
We have had a few fifty win seasons and have won a few first round playoffs series.
Mike Conley is now above average.
Tony Allen is still crazy.
Pau's little brother is slimmer and plays in the NBA, and for us
Michael Heisley sold the team to a Billionaire who doesn't talk, but likes to hoop
# of OSCARS = Three Six Mafia - 1, Martin Scorsese - 1
Pluto is no longer a Planet

But really get better ASAP, you've been missed!

Lol. I know you're not military. I was referring to your time off from RealGM. Sorry about your accident. Sounds like a lot to take in. Hopefully everything will go well towards your recovery. Otherwise, welcome back man! Hope to see more of you.

Thanks SD, It will take a few years to get worked out, but i'm in good spirits and capable of doing the basics in life and with the family, so i'm happy, even if sore.

I'm here 3-4 times a week now, mostly catching up on old threads and getting a felling for all of the newbies. lol
