Ive just watched the brooklyn nets @LAclippers and I got to admit, they are on fire at the moment. 10-1 but beside that, you can feel that they are like running on play-off-mode that early in the season. Either all our plays work and our defense rocks or we are losing this one easily. I hope to watch the first monster game of Parsons, or at least +25 points (hopefully not with +25FGA)

Maybe Fizdale sits Gasol-Conley again. Image

The Clippers are off to a hot start this season. I think best start in their franchise history. We can't play soft with these guys. With the Grizzlies struggles so far into the season, they will be facing a difficult task to slow down the Clippers offense. Best advice is to force them to earn their points from the perimeter and lock down the post. Otherwise, if the Clips get any second chance points or get hot early, it's a wrap for the Grizzlies.

Just some thoughts at the half:

-Conley and Gasol look head and shoulders above the rest of the team. I really like their faster paced play and I'm wondering why they didn't do this more often under Joerger. Maybe he's not the elite coach players fight for that we thought he was
-Harrison and Green look really sloppy, but their hustle would make Tony Allen proud
-Ennis is dogging a lot of plays
-Vince looks great making smart passes and one of the few players who knows where to be on defense, he should probably be the primary ball handler with Conley on the bench

I probably won't catch the second half, but let's hope we hold this lead

That Andrew Harrison block though. Still haven't gotten over it!

Lead slipped away, but it looks like Conley is content on building a cushion again.

Wow, JJ Redick is killing us. Can someone shadow this man the rest of the game? Grizz storm back on yet another Conley three and a Randolph drive on what looked like a TO.

JJ was on it hard for this game. I'm just glad things worked out for the Grizzlies when it mattered.

I know, that was wild. I swear Harrison was 3-4 steps behind Paul without a chance to contest, but when he goes up he's in the perfect position to make a clean play. I can't tell if he's slow or if he's just smart haha.

For anyone who hasn't seen it: http://www.nba.com/video/2016/11/16/20161116-botn

I liked how after none of the announcers acknowledge the block, one of them comments, "If Lebron did that we would have shown the clip 10 times by now."

Awesome game. I did not see that W coming. We were leading by 16 and I thought it was done but then again, they get up by 2 for the first time in the second half with just a couple of minutes to go.

I did not like seend Ennis that much on the floor at the end of the game but we actually needed to sit the starters and Vince some time. They played most of the second half. Same thing as Williams was playing in the 4th quarter when he even played a minute in the game (or in the whole week)

What I dont understand is why Parsons is not playing in the second half, he did not play either in the second half the other night.

Is good to have Zbo-gasol closing the game. I dont think J.Green is ready for that.

btw, why are Griffin and Paul always (and I really mean ALWAYS) complaining to the refs? Every single time a defender gets close to them, they look at the ref afterwards. Griffin even screamed "and1" to the ref face when he did not get the call. It is ridiculous that they allow them to do that.

Why does every player in the NBA complain to the ref when a foul is called against them or not called when they think it should be? I hate people like you that say that about the Clippers because that was the cool thing on ESPN a couple of seasons ago... but having said that, last time Blake was being pretty bitchy. The call that Paul yelled about was 100% right, everyone could see he got all ball on that block.

But why I came onto your forum was to say what jman beat me to. That chase down block on Paul on that wild play... that was an amazing play! Eric Bledsoe used to do that when we had him and he got nicknamed "lil Lebron" (or something close to that) Plays like that when most people would have given up, that's why those of us on the Clippers forum knew the 11 point spread was way too much.

As much as I may not like your team, there are very few that I respect more than the Grizzlies. Good luck the rest of the way!

Yep. Parsons the last couple of years has been fragile as glass. So getting physical with the Clips would not have worked for that situation and his recent return to the lineup.

Return to Memphis Grizzlies
