This article talks about the Grizzlies issues of consistency in recent weeks. While the Grizzlies have been winning games against better competition, they have struggled to win games against under .500 teams or teams just hovering at the mark. Wha tdo some of you think the issue is coming from?

Laziness, Resting players at the wrong time? Not enough offense to keep the effort going strong? Slow starts into games? Exerting energy to fight back leads to catch up to their competition?

Being at the middle of the season I expected more from parsons too. I guess he is adapating a new team and moreover, he is coming from an injury. Despite all that, I should expect that he hits open and wide shots. Ive lost all hope. When I see the ball flying to the basket I dont expect it is going to be a basket. The ball hits the rim so hard that it just go out of bounds. My only hope is that Zbo or and unboxed tony allen get in the paint and get the reb. Parsons, Shape up before the playoffs. At this moment, I agree he is a liability.

It talks about consistency too. Well, we always have an opponent making his season-high against us. Dekker the other night made like 16points in the first half when his season high was 19. Also, not that long ago Otto Porter had an incredible night. Third or fourth offensive options making great numbers. Not sure if it is a coaching problem or what. When was it that Allen said to Conley that a certain player "caught them off guard, he was not in the scouting report". I think it was about Porter but I dont remeber now.

We want to hang our hat on defense but 35 year old Tony Allen is the only guy guarding his man. There is a myth about Mike Conley Jr. being a good defender but I have not seen him ever shut anyone down or keep a PG of high regard in front of him. TA always draws that assignment. The guys who hit career highs in the past week on us were all wing players who had more accomplished players on their team and for the most part were guarded by 40 year old Vince Carter. I say again if a 40 year old player is your best wing off the bench then you have a very BIG PROBLEM, that bore itself out in the past week. I am now glossing coach Fizz, "the lemonade man" because the front office is giving the guys these lemons and expecting wins (miracles) when the talent is simply not there. We are losing games because the roster construction is once again atrocious. No backup PG, no backup Center (rim protector), no starting or reserve two way SG. The Grizz roster is the land of great contracts once you remove the top three deals and nothing more. Cu do's to the "lemonade Man" for getting them this far.

Conley to me was never that good of a defender in the first place. His medium frame and height played a role into that issue. When was the last time he defended a PG player and completely shut him down? Not Westbrook, not Parker, not Billups, not CP3, not Lillard, and not Curry. Conley has had trouble defending those guys well. One of the reasons why TA had to draw those assignments every game day. As for Vinsanity, strangely he's been decent to say the least. The fact remains that he's 40 like you stated and playing some heavier minutes for a guy well into his age bracket. Not necessarily a smart move as you risk burning VC out, but risk an injury to his as well.
