CHANDLER PARSONS =

His Basketball game is in shambles but his chick game is in tact, WAY TO PRIORITIZE, big guy.

It will be years before this organization ever takes a chance on an injury prone player with the type of financial investment they made in you, but you live and you learn.

So for those keeping score, WE HAVE LEARNED AS AN ORGANIZATION:
1. We no longer draft a player #2 overall that refuses to work out for you prior, because just perhaps he is hiding the fact he has no game = Hasheem Thabeet, we are talking about you.
2. A player with multiple knee surgeries and especially in consecutive years, just maybe, indicative of, I don't know - A KNEE PROBLEM. so don't respond by giving said player a $94 million dollar contract because said player will not have the lateral quickness of Flash from Zootopia, and be your 15th best player. He currently is in the starting lineup, only in Grizzland.

Getting Chandler Parsons is the equivalent of getting Amare Stoudimire. Have talent, but to injury prone to be reliable. One of the reasons why I didn't like the move from Chris Wallace. Be glad the day comes when and if they find a team to pawn him off for somebody else in return.

Who will take Parsons now? 1st year, big contract, under performing, looks slow, plays fast on social media. I'm hoping he is like Wright and basically the first year is a write off and he comes back as a productive & reliable 3rd offensive/scoring option for this team.

Problem is if he starts to play well again, do you as an Organization try to sell while he is hot or do you hope that it isn't a hot streak and he's back to being a productive player and ride it out. It's a crap shoot with this guy. Personally, I think he has too many things of interest outside of basketball to make me think he has the work ethic / dedication to maximize his talents and if a decent offer comes to take his contract off the books for lesser players but salary relief you just bite.

#1. When you get paid a lot of money in Parsons case, and not able to perform to the weight of your contract, you will want to have a lot of fun as well like it's your last.

That being said, Parsons contract is among one of the dumbest contract signings by Chris Wallace during his tenure as Grizzlies GM. While I get this whole big free agent signing angle, an alarm should've went off in his head. If Mavericks owner Mark Cuban didn't want to resign his buddy Parsons to a long term deal due to his injuries, why didn't Wallace see the facts that perhaps Parsons injuries were to questionable to take such a high risk in investing a lot of money into an asset that hasn't been reliable in the last three seasons?

Because we need to overpay people to come here... and STAY here too. I dont call it dumbest, its a BET, a huge one. If Parsons didnt have knee problems he would never have signed here.

The overpaying part I get as the Grizzlies are a small market franchise. The part about overpaying for a player with a history of injuries is the issue I have. If a team is goingto take a gamble of a high profile player, at least make sure said player will be reliable and has better durability to help the team out for the long term.
