I can respect that he feels that he can play for a couple more seasons. During his time here, he did contribute here at times. For the obvious, he had his off nights as well. This season he went beyond the call of duty to step up in the often injured Chandler Parsons place to fill in at SF to help the team win games. At this juncture, I see no place where the Grizzlies can afford to bring him back into the fold based on the limited salary cap room they possess. I see VC moving on to the next team where he can play out his last "two years" before he punches his retirement card for good.

Please GOD, let him go somewhere other than back here. He was the best wing player for us this year at 40 years old and it wasn't really even close. I simply fear that he would once again be that for us next season if he returned, which is not his fault.

in my opinion, if it is cheap and we get new players to cover the SF and SG properly, I would not mind if he stays. As long as he plays reduced minutes and only when needed, im ok with him.

This is wastage of VC time if he want to catch a ring in his career

The current cap room is currently tight with Green(RFA), ZBo, TA, and VC(All UFAs'). The Parsons contract made that happen with the assist from GM Chris Wallace. The only way I see the cap room improving and for the Grizzlies need to add some players cheap or otherwise, they made need to look at the possibility of trading Marc Gasol.

Wallace is prone to stubbornness to a T. IF VC somehow finds his way back into the Grizzlies Den, it would not surprise me. Just keep his minutes reduce if that's the case. Personally, I rather make some solid changes, not rebuilding, but retooling to better fit the roster with players coming into their prime talent while developing our talent in the process. With the way things are going, I do not expect a quick championship run right now. So why not build the team worthy enough to challenge for a title run sometime in the near future.
