As we know by now Vince Carter is joining the Sacramento Kings. It was no surprise that VC was not likely to return to the Grizzlies. Vince had an amazing career and will go into the Hall of Fame for all the accolades he's participated and will be remembered. Carter was initially to be a mentor to the up and coming young squad and play spot up minutes at the ready. Carter ended up playing his fair share of minutes in the last two seasons due to injuries surrounding the team. This season, he went beyond the call of duty to play more minutes at his age when Chandler Parsons as expected would miss some games and later the season. VC made the best of his time with the Grizzlies and did what he could to contribute to the team. For that, he gets an appreciation thread.
As Vince moves on to the Kings, it's time to wish him luck in his endeavors and with his new team.
