Where there is smoke, there is fire. I would say call the fire department, but this is a wildfire that may need to burn itself out on its own terms.

This saga just gets worse and worse. While I am not sure I should, I feel bad for Pera, given the sorry state of affairs this team is in. I think that some individuals in the front office are way too entrenched at this point. Wallace should have been gone a long time ago and I feel like Hollinger has clearly steered Pera and co down the wrong path. The disconnect between management and team began early in Pera' s tenure, with Hollinger drawing the ire of Coach Hollins.

Pera needs to cut bait with the current administration and go to the drawing board. He seems like a good guy with good intentions. If the absentee approach doesn't work, it is only because he has put his trust in the wrong people. Pera is a smart man who can turn this ship around. He needs to install a GM with a clear vision and message and cut ties with the rest of this FO.

Hopefully the conclusion will provide clarity, unless Pera buys them out, then expect more of the same.

I think if the minority owners win out then the Grizzlies are more likely to go for a rebuild. Especially if they are able to net a top pick or two in return. It would suck to buy a team just to watch them slowly decline.
