Thoughts on Van Exel and Smart as asst coaches? Rumors they may join Fizdale in N.Y.

I read the rumors about it on the Knicks board yesterday. At this point, anything is possible.

Both guys were solid assistants as far as I'm concern. For NVE, his round with the Grizzlies was his first time being an assistant coach in the NBA. He was previously a NBA D-League coach for the Texas Legends for a couple of seasons. Smart did coach a couple of NBA teams albeit with losing results. Either way it goes, I wish them well if they both go and follow Fizdale to the Knicks.
