It's a shame that the Grizz used him up for a years, and just let him walk. We really need more genuine people like this to get the city back on board and this team back in the playoffs.

Tyreke is such a cool dude. He can be frustrating on the court at times, but he's a humble player with the kind of personality you want in a teammate off of it.

I liked the guy. He didn't seem like a locker room vet that went out of his way to help the young guys, but he never caused any problems and he left it all out on the court.

Reke was a reliable player for the Grizzlies during his short tenure here. At least he got the opportunity to play as a Tiger and a Grizzly for the city of Memphis. If the Grizzlies had utilize their cap space more responsibly, I think Reke would've been lock in for three years at least.

So sad to see him go. It seems that he would have stayed here if the FO offered something. Even cheaper than the Pacers offered. I hope he does well in Indiana. All the best.


(I will miss him also in 2k. I used to play a lot picknroll Gasol+Evans. It was hard for 4th tier teams to stop them.)

He was a beast on 2k. So fun to drive with. I’ll miss him but also excited to play with JJJ. A long athletic shot blocker with great lateral quickness and can shoot the 3 ball.
Love the Anderson signing in real life but not sure that translates to excitement on 2k lol.

Hahaha, so true, Didnt think of JJJ in 2k. And suddenly we are a threat from the 3pm. I hope JJJ gets at least an 80 in open3shots.

Anderson in 2k... Never used him but I guess he wont be much better than D.Brooks: Good from the mid range, Decent D and Reliable at the contested layups on the fastbreaks. Useless from the 3point line and driving or passing the ball.

The fact that the Front Office never picked up the phone to even call him speaks volumes to where the relationship was by the end of his tenure with the team. There are enough unsubstantiated reports regarding how and why the relationship soured but an organization has to have the right type of veterans around young players, so that the desired culture is established. Can we say unequivocally that this was the reason he was no longer a Grizzly - NO, but coupled with the lack of financially flexibility, the emergence of a cheaper alternative in Marshon Brooks, and the overload of young players all played a part in the Front Office simply moving on.

For whatever the reason, a deal could not be match or the Grizzlies became greedy and were asking for more than they could get. Either way, I think from that point on, I think things just soured between both sides and both parted on good terms.
