Grizzlies rookie PG Jevon Carter will undergo right thumb surgery to repair the ligament. It's unknown how long he will need time to heal from the surgery at this time.

Chris Paul and Marcus Smart were out 6 weeks though I saw somewhere it is usually a 6-8 week recovery.

This will cause him to miss training camp and the preseason games as well. Sux for him, Wish him well on his recovery.

As long as it is taken care of. That is the important thing. He is a rookie, plenty of time to get caught up.
