Not big news here, he was injured and on an expiring deal.

This is the second time in a year he has played for a team and happens to get waived post trade deadline. The first happened when he played for the Warriors last year before going down with an injury and being waived.

Hate it for him since he was playing so well before the injury but it makes the most sense.
