I can't say this is a good hire or a bad hire as I'm not familiar with the guy. This will be his first head coaching job. So he will beginning his new journey in this position as the Grizzlies start the rebuilding.

This link is a topic I started at the Bucks board to gain more info on new head coach hire Taylor Jenkins. Although Jenkins is an unknown to most of us. The feedbacks I've received from the topic have been positive to this point.
