After much speculation about Howard and the Lakers having mutual interest in the last few weeks. It's official that Dwight Howard will join the Lakers. Once he has clear waivers with the Grizzlies, the signing will be official. Howard will be filling in for DeMarcus Cousins, who will miss the entire 2019-20 season due to a serious injury to his knee.

I like it for us. He gave back 2.6m in the buyout and since we were likely waiving him anyway prior to the start of the season it is us basically getting a little extra room under the tax line for free.
