Ja going down gave me a heart attack.

At least Ja (10ast/0to), JJJ (6/8 3pt, 28pts), and Clarke (8/9 FG, 1/1 3pt) had good games aside from JJJ getting into foul trouble early and Ja not having the best shooting night. Feels like it may be Josh Jackson time soon...

Good to see 3J have another great game. Shot (6-8) from 3 for an efficient 18 points.

A future mobile defensive C that can effectively space the floor, score efficiently & is a potential triple threat = franchise big. Though he's still a raw 20yo, I take that combination of skillset/potential over Young all day, #4. Doesn't hurt Memphis got their PG the following draft, #2. Ja just needs to work on his defense. He has all the tools necessary to be better. Send them both for strength training. Not including Clarke, that's a solid foundation to build off of = for me, target is a scoring wing top 6 2020 + trade in for Okoro. If Josh pans out at SF, Memphis could offer up some combination of the top 6 pick + Utah + GS for Beal, depending on where they land & if they don't net a preferred target.. 3J/Clarke/2J/Beal/1J with a solid bench Jonas/Bruno/Anserson/Brooks/Tyus. Would have preferred Delon to Tyus though.

Warren (11-15) 26/4
Lamb (8-16) 19/4
Holiday (6-9) 16/3
Brogdon (6-12) 14/6
TJ McConnell (5-12) 11/5

Concerning Josh, who will upgrade the wing defense. I figured he was partly in the G-League to showcase Crowder for potential trade?.

Sabonis (5-8) 13/13
Turner (3-5) 7/2

Pacers guards pulled down 28 rebounds.

I was an advocate of resigning Jonas & drafting Clarke so that the team can change gears.

Last year, Jonas was more effective with Memphis because of 3 factors

1, Grit n Grind pace
2, Conley is a better defender than Lowry, Ja. Didn't hurt they also had Bradley to help pressure the ball.
3, Increased touches/usage to benefit his offensive efficiency

This year

1, Increased pace, quick 3's
2, Ja even for a rookie, needs work defensively/improve strength
3, Decreased usage & touches, means Jonas, who's an offensive big, is on the court defensively with Ja.

Is it purposeful the pace they have Jonas playing at? I believe so... think he's on a learning curve too being utilized on the 3pt line.

Of all the bigs, Clarke has the most chemistry with Ja but he's coming off the bench in favor of Jonas, who doesn't & he's playing at an uncomfortable pace, which lacks the necessary ball pressure/usage for him to be effective & in turn Ja needs a big like Clarke, that can erase mistakes. If Memphis don't plan to switch gears with Ja/Jonas & want to win, they could effectively play Jonas at a slower pace off the bench with Anderson/Tyus as the offensive focal point. A switch that could improve both units, which could be why they haven't made it.
