No Ja, no JV, no Kyle Anderson, no bueno. I would have liked to have seen point Anderson, but at least we might get to see Melton some today. Or maybe they just let Grayson Allen be the backup PG instead of seeing what they have in Melton. Who knows.

Melton put together a really nice game, just missed posting a TD - 9/7/8, while impacting the defense. His game was simple & under control. I already like him more than Tyus, His game is similar to Delon's.

I might sound like a broken record but Josh too was a bad fit for the Suns. Fully believe, especially with how Josh is shooting the 3 ball in g-league, they have a hidden gem. Potential 22yo defensive point forward, if they don't manage to lose him in free agency.

No Jonas, no Ja = better defensive showing for Memphis.

Reduced TO's = one for the win column, though they had a couple very sloppy plays.

Minnesota = Dillons b#t#h.

Memphis are a better team without JV or Bruno helps the team more with his skillset?

I don't think it's an either or situation, they both bring different things to the table where both can be useful.

Memphis beat Minnesota earlier in the year with both JV & Ja. Like in that game Brooks seems to have their #. I don't think Memphis are better without JV, they generally start games strong & fade late, potentially tanking to retain their top 6 pick.

Memphis are better defensively without either or both JV & JA. Jonas worth, is on the offensive end & on the boards.

Some may not share my opinion but I think Jonas is a useful player for Memphis. Being an efficient post threat that can hold his own defensively in the paint but does struggle to guard in space. His defensive issues are amplified by the fact Ja is 160 pounds soaking wet & is currently a defensively liability himself, where a slow big like Jonas needs better ball pressure than what Ja can currently provide. Ja on the other hand, needs a big that can erase mistakes. That 1-5 combo does bleed points for Memphis.

Memphis should consider pairing Jonas with Melton off the bench as an offensive focal point. Move Clarke into the starting rotation with 3J as he has the most chemistry with Ja & the ability to erase his defensive mistakes.

I was expecting more out of Jaren, unfortunately, who's struggling at the 5. Between him & Jonas I believe Memphis can throw different looks & pace at teams.. versatility. Play big/slow in the half court with Jonas & Jaren or in transition/pace, with Jaren at the 5.

While the defense was better. Memphis won this game on the back of taking 40 3's out of necessity, they can't maintain that. This is not the first time as mentioned earlier that Brooks has gone off on Minnesota but then went ice cold the following game. Memphis had very little working for them inside the arc, where JV & Ja do work.

D Brooks should start every game against Minnesota for the rest of the season...
